BookLight.International™ is an individual initiative launched by Mira Publishing House and Mira Intelligent Read to give all books, ‘old’, ‘new’, and ‘due to be released’ the same opportunity to be looked up and seen by the general public worldwide.
The system holds the essential information about individual books and generates smart statistics about the publishing industry and the reading trends.
It is simple, easy to navigate through, with no adverts, to benefit all levels of users, whether novices or advanced, and wide range of professions such as: researchers, librarians, book distributors, retailers, publishers, students and ordinary readers.
The system provides three levels of searching:
- Basic Search: Placed at the top right corner of the home page. The user enters a keyword, author name, title or part of the title of a book, to get a list of all books that contain the specified entries in the Title, Author name or the publisher.
- Advanced search: A hyperlink placed below the Basic Search. It takes the user to a new page where the search can be filtered by: genre, Publishing year, language, country, and publishing format. The output of the search appears in a list of all books, including the book cover, as specified in the search filter.
- Generate Your Own Statistics: A button located on the home page, below the website statistics. The user can filter the search criteria (as above) to get statistics (totals/percentages) instead of list of books.
The system is absolutely free of charge to search and download the required information.
However, we do apply a small charge of £1 per title on the publishers and self-published authors, who want to deposit their books in the system, to help maintaining the database and managing the services provided.
In this site, we try to provide our readers with some external news on the book industry from reliable sources, and bring them extraordinary stories in this respect without being biased to any specific book or genre.
Hence, we encourage our readers to participate in this section by sending us relevant news and stories from wherever they are, and we promise to publish what we see suitable.
Suitability is based on specific criteria, which is available on request.
Publishers/authors who register before 30th Apr 2023 will get £20 credit in their e-wallet (worth uploading 20 titles).
The standard charges afterwards, will be as the following:
- £1 per title (one off): for titles published in the past 5 years and due to be released titles.
- All books published 5 years before joining the system, will go in the system free of charge.
- Annual Subscription Fees: Indie publishers: £25
Large publishers: £50
Self-published authors: £5
BookLight.International™ is a one-stop-shop for those who are looking for book related information in terms of release date and/or publishers worldwide.
The website has no books advertisements whatsoever, to allow equal opportunity for each and every book to be freely chosen by public.
As the system is not meant to sell books, it does however provide a link to the publisher's website of each book.
